Workshops
Workshop in Greece
Short report:
The main outcome of this workshop is that technology and ICT need to be regarded as social and soft skills, not only technological ones. Thus, a change in how we approach technology, use and even our relationship with it, needs to be deconstructed and re-purposed. Greek businesses must change how they conduct business and start integrating new technologies to stay competitive and relevant.
It is imperative to understand the new technological changes that will be present in our lives in the next 10-20 years. AI has already greatly impacted our work, and the ChatGPT was only introduced in November 2022.
Upgrading and reskilling digital literacy is imperative to promote and integrate in formal and informal educational settings.

This workshop focused mainly on the discussion of how the integration of migrants in Italy is evolving: what developments should be undertaken in the short term, what are the main technological trends that affect the sectors of the local economy and what are the current employment needs.
To facilitate a more focused discussion, questions were provided to all participants, specifically:
What are the new skills that impose the greatest impact on the value chain?
What skills are currently required by local economies?
What gaps currently exist in current training programmes?
What are the new technologies that penetrate the sectors?
Which key trends are recognized as paradigm shifts?
