Project successfully finished, 31. Oct. 2024
The project BYTE successfully finished on 31. 10. 2024. The project team (over)achieved all promised KPIs:
number of upskilled mentors: 46 (of 40), number of upskilled mentees: 92 (of 80)
number of events: 4 live workshops, 7 webinars, 14 other dissemination events, 2 live project meetings, 7 virtual meetings
training materials: 35 videos, 35 ppts, 10 introduction texts, 70 quizzies, 14 assignment instructions
elearning platform: 6 courses, 20 learning units, assignments submitted: 793, microcredentials issued (certificates): 339, total time spent on e-learning: 2 months 13 days, motivational emails sent to learners: we didn't count, but many.
people reached via website and social media: over 1000

This website remains online until 2029 for educational and information-sharing purposes. You can access and download all training materials here: mentors, mentees.
Final meeting in Ancona, Italy, Sep. 2024
The international project team met for the last time in Ancona, Italy. Last tasks before the project wrap up and reporting were discussed. We are happy to announce we already almost achieved all planned objectives. Project will officially end on 31. 10. 2024.

The first webinar for future mentors was completed successfully!
The event was moderated by Sofia Tsiortou (Drosostalida - Greece).
Daniel Jianu (SIMO - Romania) introduced the project and its objectives.
After the project presentation, other consortium partners (Tomislav Rozman - BICERO, Slovenia, Themistoklis Gogas - University of Ioannina, Greece, Eleonora Tramannoni - AIC, Italy) introduced their activities.
We had a fascinating conversation on mentoring migrants in Greece with Lydia Siapardani of the Irida Women's Center.

Project objectives
The objective of BYTE is to help migrants (including refugees from Ukraine) become self-employed (building a successful enterprise profit-generating with social objectives).
Specific objectives
Enhancement of the early integration of refugees into the labor market.
Enhancement of the role of entrepreneurs as mentors.
Raising entrepreneurs’ and local communities' awareness regarding the benefits of the insertion of highly skilled migrants in the labor market.
